We designed Ground Central around the ritual of coffee. The smells, the sounds, the quiet hum of people working or chatting…

Josh Held Design has transformed this midtown spot into an eclectic coffee lounge that speaks of a timeless New York City. Reclaimed oak floors and millwork marry raw steel and aged mirror. Custom coffee equipment including a pour over station made from up-cycled diamond plate steel sit on top of cast concrete counters. Walls have been framed in decommissioned NYC scaffolding planks while records from the custom vinyl rack pipe Rock n Roll, Jazz, and Blues through the vintage sound system. A common work table in the front and a hidden library room embrace the coffee culture and celebrate the human connection

Our space is designed to accommodate a variety of functions, whether you want to enjoy lunch at our communal table, take a closer look at our murals as you wait for your latte to-go, or retreat to our cozy back library to do work.
